Biography

The Mantras’ music is a high-energy collaborative of jam-fusion and funk-rock that shakes your knees and rattles your toes. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the band has been playing to ever-increasing and sold out crowds in their home state, as well as expanding to new markets in the South and North East.
Comprised of guitarist Keith Allen, guitarist Marcus Horth, drummer Justin Loew, bassist Brian Tyndall and percussionist Brent Vaughn, The Mantras unified their musical vision in 2005 and have continued to hone their sonic directions show by show. Having shared the stage with Perpetual Groove, Rusted Root, The Bridge, and many other national acts, The Mantras continue to impress their peers and win new fans over with every song.
The band has released two studio albums and plans are in effect for the release of a live DVD from their sold out New Years Eve show in Greensboro, N.C. In addition, the annual festival hosted by the band, Mantra Bash, is shaping up to once again take place this fall. Stay tuned, as the fun has just begun!
